location ( Bahnhofplatz) was excellent when using the Swiss Rail Pass. the “old style” of building was appealing but walk inside and the blend of styles was most attractive. the welcoming staff at reception set the tone for our stay, useful information about the old town we planned to visit plus the Basel transport free pass was a bonus. our room was spacious, clean, bedding comfortable, bathroom well presented. can highly recommend when staying in Basel. and yes the included breakfast was great, plenty of options .

Very friendly staff when we arrived. Everything was explained clearly and quickly. We had to book this hotel because of an unfortunate delay and missed night train, they handled our request within an hour (and everything was perfectly fine, all demands were met). The hotel is literally a 3 minute walk from the train platforms, which is great if you're exhausted from a train trip.

This was a truly excellent hotel. The room was stunning, luxurious and the facilities great; it was very clean and incredibly comfortable. Staff were polite and very helpful. It was very centrally located. All in all a great hotel!!

Excellent location, next to the train station - 3 minutes walk max Walkable distance to the river and the town centre, very convenient Received city card when check-in so can get 50% discount on majority of attractions 24hr reception and made our life easier as we arrived after midnight. Room size is decent and can borrow adopter from the reception Can get more drinks from drink and ice room on 4th floor

I chose this hotel due to proximity to the main train station and I didn't regret it. If you are visiting Basel for the first time and coming in by train, I highly recommend staying here. It is right in front of the main train station. The room is good with all basic amenities for the night. Nothing luxurious but clean and comfortable. The hotel also provides free non-alcoholic drinks (water, coke, lemonade) on each floor. You can take as many as you want. The city centre is also close by with plenty of eating options around.

The room was large and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel was a ten minute walk from shops and city centre and it was right next to the main train station - one minute walk! The air conditioning though good tended to be on the noisy side but not overly so.

Hotel location couldn’t be better- trams outside and train station opposite. Hotel comfortable and very clean. Staff all very smiley and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. City pass giving free transport and other discounts was much appreciated and used.

For breakfast there was a huge amount of food to choose from. My room was above the tram , but I heard nothing. There is air conditioning. I never watched TV, but watched the people outside. Train station 5 minutes away. Old town was a 15 minute walk. COOP was around the corner for food and everything else. Two restaurants next to hotel. Starbucks is across the street.

We loved the convenient location and the proximity via tram to the museums etc. The free tram card was appreciated, thank you. We received a couple of excellent café recommendations from the man at the front desk, which were very useful. Everything was provided as needed and staff were very friendly.
